PHS Versions

PHS Versions

There are currently three PHS Versions in the POBITS system:
  1. Classic - based on the California PHS circa 2008.
  2. Modern - based on the Oregon questionnaire (OAR 259-008-0015).
  3. California - based on the California POST 2-251 (REV 1/2024) PHS.
Of the three, the latter two provide the ability to customize every question in the PHS as they are both engineered differently with that function as a key feature. The Classic PHS is being depreciated meaning that we do not intend to make revisions or improvements to it and at some point, we will eliminate it as an option. For those using the Classic version, the easiest path is to move to the California version. This requires very little on your part. When creating a candidate, you will select an investigator and position. Just be sure to select a position uses the California PHS version. Importantly, for the Modern and California versions, the questions asked at the time the candidate completes the questionnaire are contained in the case so when/if you modify the questions, there is no effect on any cases other than those created after the questions are modified.
