When the Preliminary Questionnaire attribute is checked, The PHS only display and validates Yes/No questions and does not display ancillary information to the candidate or investigator. Using a preliminary questionnaire is useful for providing an abbreviated questionnaire. The candidate does not provide information on relatives, references, employers, or landlords and several other items. This feature is provided for a large organization that gains benefit from it. In general, we do not recommend using it. The specifics are as follows:
- Supplemental forms are not affected.
- The Relatives investigative area is not displayed or validated.
- The References investigative area is not displayed or validated.
- For the Residence investigative area, the candidate is asked all questions but is not required to provide the residence history.
